Sick of Safari

Alright. I’ve had Safari installed for what, 1 month maybe 2? I’m already sick of it. I don’t use it very often, except to check my most recent designs. However, in the short time I’ve had it installed, I’ve been prompted to upgrade it at least 10 times.

It doesn’t even do it automatically like Firefox, or prompt me only when I use it like Opera. No, Safari (along with all of the other MacWare I have installed on my Windows boxes) pops up saying “There’s a new version available, would you like to upgrade?” about 2 or 3 times a week. It requires my approval, which is annoying. In addition, like I said, it pops up whenever it feels like it, rather than just waiting until I open the program.

It wouldn’t bother me quite as much if it would pop up every time I opened Safari, telling me that there’s a new version available. However, this nonsense about popping up at random times during the day, without me running any of the MacWare intentionally, is really getting annoying.

I’m sure there’s some way to turn that “feature” off, I just haven’t bothered to look for it, yet. I’m really tired of it. Anyone else having this problem?
