Google has announced that if you are an AdSense publisher, you can now adjust the size of the font in the text ads that are displayed on your websites and/or blogs.
From the announcement, “The font size you choose will be applied to the body of the ad, with the title scaled appropriately. In order to fit the ad text correctly, the actual font size will vary for each format size, font face, and user-specific settings such as browsers and operating systems. In addition, some formats sizes currently have very limited room, so the font size application will be most apparent in cases where the number of ads appearing in your ad units varies automatically in order to maximize your performance.”
Google has also noted that they will be moving from the small font size as the default to medium as the default. They say this has shown a higher level of interaction. We will need to see if it equates to better payouts. As always the key is to test, test and then test some more.
